Social groups

Social skills, experienced together

Small, structured, neuro-affirming online groups for children aged 9 to 13. Making art side by side takes the pressure off, so connection has room to grow.

How groups work

Connection, without the pressure

Each group brings together a small number of children of a similar age. Art-making and shared creative activity set the format, which lowers the pressure that comes with conversation-led social skills groups.

  • Small groups

2 to 6 children in Australia, and 2 to 5 elsewhere, so everyone gets seen and supported.

  • 90-minute sessions

Enough time to settle in, make art together and practise connecting, without rushing.

  • Ages 9 to 13

Peers at a similar developmental stage, which helps the social practice land.

  • Online, from home

A comfortable, familiar place, without the extra pressure a new room can bring.

What we work on

Practising together, in a safe space

  • Building regulation tools as a group
  • Practising social skills in a low-stakes setting
  • Space to learn, experiment and share without judgement

Why groups work well alongside individual sessions

A lot of social skill-building can’t really happen one-to-one with an adult. Groups give kids a peer setting to try things out, with enough structure and support to feel safe rather than exposed.

Individual sessions are available as art therapy in Australia, or creative wellbeing sessions everywhere else.

It depends on where you live

My child is neurodivergent and really loves art wellbeing with Lou Lou, and the social groups! He was grumpy before he started the group, and then very happy afterwards. I find it really helps him.
